Notes

This tower provides a microwave link between Clark's Knob and the Turnpike maintenance buildings just west of the Tuscarora tunnel. The tower also serves a cellular provider, Vanguard Cellular. The ASRN is registered to Vanguard. Vanguard has microwave links to Sideling Hill and Mt. Union from this site.

The site is located directly on the path of the Tuscarora Trail. A somewhat paved road descends to the west of the site. Power reaches the site underground. The site is also equipped with a generator and three propane tanks. PTC and Vanguard each have separate equipment buildings at the site. Just south of the site there is a locked brick building with numerous conduits leading into the ground. There is also a pole with a disconnected antenna attached. It is reasonable to assume this was former PTC equipment, abandoned when the new tower was constructed. It would be interesting to know how large of a role Vanguard played in this.
