| Notes | This is a Verizon Wireless cellular site that was constructed during the summer of 2003. The site consists of an equipment building, a generator, and three sector antenna arrays. The equipment building is located at ground level on the northwestern end of Shippensburg's Mathematics and Computing Technology (MCT) building. On the northwestern roof of the MCT, the generator and one sector array is located. Northeastern and southwestern arrays are located on the southeastern portion of the building, on the roof of Dauphin Humanities Center (DHC).
We've been told that the installation required cutting into the roofing substantially to find an adequate structural support for each of the arrays. Each antenna is fed from 1-5/8" Heliax cable, terminated in the equipment building. Four antennas are used in each sector array. |
