This is a microwave repeater site for Intermedia, Inc. according to the labeling. It is located near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on the same mountain as the Upper Strasburg Site, but further south. Six radome-covered parabolic microwave antennae are present on the tower, and there is an additional one sitting on the ground next to the tower. After the Clark's Knob survey, we descended the mountain very close to this tower. Upon reaching the bottom, we saw the tower and decided to go back up to survey it. |
