Problems & Solutions

At one point the display on my scanner stopped working, and simultaneously the keypad confirmation tone was disabled. The reset button did not correct the problem. I tried manually adjusting contrast with no success either. Using Win95, I downloaded the configuration. The contrast value was outside of the allowed ranges. After uploading valid data to the scanner, normal operation was restored. My guess is a static discharge corrupted part of the scanner's NVRAM.
